Bachelor of Science degree, in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University. Currently President of Log Analysis Solutions, a Professional Engineering firm located in Midland, Texas. Prior to forming LAS, Nick worked as Operations Manager for Element Petroleum and Manhattan Petroleum. He started his career as field engineer for Schlumberger Wireline.
Over 23 years of experience.




Lee Spent the early part of his career with Pan American Petroleum, working the day to day log analysis for all of Pan America’s assets. In 1971 he began his career with Halliburton Energy Services, where in a variety of log related positions. At the time of his retirement in 2008 he was the lead log analysis for Halliburton Permian Basin. Upton retirement Lee was a cofounder and VP of Log Analysis for Log Analysis Solutions.

Lee is a member of the West Texas Geological Society, SEPM-PBS and Ranching Heritage Society. He has served as golf tournament chairman, evening programs chairman, WTGS directory photographer, WTGS secretary, WTGS vice president, and numerous field trip committees and support services. Lee has published and presented papers for WTGS Fall Symposium, Southwest Section AAPG, Permian Basin SPE, SPE Rocky Mountain Symposium, national SPLWLA, Texas Tech Petroleum Technology Conference and many luncheon programs. The topics ranged from the down hole video camera to fracture identification techniques. Lee’s last presentation was on the Wolfberry for the 2008 Fall Symposium. In June 2014 Lee received the West Texas Geological Society’s Pioneer Award.
